SOUND FAMILIAR?

The confusion isn’t the guests — it’s the layout

Traffic paths overlap

Food, drinks, and private indoor rooms compete for the same path, so guests keep bumping into each other.

Lighting gets tested too late

String lights and path lighting only get checked once it’s already dark and guests are arriving.

Activities sit too close to food

Games and kids’ play end up near glassware and food lines instead of a safer, wider patch of ground.

Seating stays in one stiff row

Chairs get lined up instead of clustered, so conversation groups never really form.

WHAT’S INSIDE

Inside the checklist

Entry and Welcome

Choose the guest route, clear the path, and light the entry if anyone may arrive after sunset.

Food Zone

Place the food table for self-serve access and keep hot, cold, and dessert items in logical spots.

Drink Zone

Separate drinks from food, make the setup self-service, and keep water more visible than specialty drinks.

Seating and Conversation

Cluster chairs in small groups, mix seating types, and keep pathways open between them.

Activities and Kids

Give active play the widest safe patch of ground and keep quiet activities near adult seating.

Lighting and Cleanup

Test lights before guests arrive, hide cords along edges, and place bins where trash is actually made.

Stop the traffic jam, start the flow
